I have been taking auctions for over thirty years and have sold lots of all sorts from £1.00 to over £100,000. I have conducted auctions for a number of different auctioneers and have experience of general, specialist, fine art, vintage car, motorcycle and even plant and machinery auctions. I have worked on and organised many ‘on the premises’ auctions and even oversaw the sale of an entire museum on one occasion. Alongside my freelance work I am an auctioneer at Lawrences in Crewkerne, one of the leading fine art and antiques auctioneers in the country.
I am also auctioneer for Dorset Vintage & Classic Auctions who hold regular auctions of vintage and classic cars in Dorset. The DVCA webpage lists the sale dates and cars for sale. The auctions take place at Henstridge Airfield, Henstridge, Somerset BA8 0TN. See the DVCA webpage or contact me for further information.
The car illustrated here is a 1921 Jouffret four seater tourer, probably the only one in existence. This car will be included in the March 21st auction with an estimate of £25,000 – 35,000.
I have conducted many charity auctions and am happy to offer advice and guidance to charities where ever possible. Charity auctions can be a lot of fun and a very effective way of raising money. One recent charity auction organizer commented:
‘Having the support of such a fantastic auctioneer as yourself was fantastic, and not only helping to drive up the bidding but also make it such a fun and entertaining evening. I had no idea it would be such a good night out.’
If you would like me to take an auction for you or get involved with your event then please contact me. I am happy to assist with cataloguing items for auction and the promotion of auctions and all aspects of the auction process.
